SIRIUS
supports unlimited I/O points. The number of I/O points is restricted only
by available hardware.
For
the storage of data, SIRIUS uses its inhouse
developed real time memory based database for faster & efficient
access of data. The database has support for SQL, ODBC, & OLEDB along
with its native API. The database supports concurrency control, locking
mechanism and data prioritization.
The
following devices have been integrated with SIRIUS:
ABB AC110 on MODBUS
ABB AC31 on MODBUS
ABB 800M using OPC
ABB Generator Protection
Relays REG 316*4 on SPA
ABB Line Protection Relay
REL 511 on SPA
ABB Transformer
Protection Relay RET 521 on SPA
ABB DS-8 System RTU on PD
BUS
ABB DS-100 System RTU on
SDLP
GE-Fanuc 90-30 on SNP
ALSPA 80-35 on SNP
AB PLC-5 Controller on
OPC
Datac 932 on DNP 3.0
Siemens S7 300 on OPC
Solartron Flow Computer on MODBUS
ALSTOM MICOM Relays on
MODBUS
VATech DTL-595 on MODBUS Plus
In addition to above,
given the protocol, SIRIUS can support any other device.
Yes,
SIRIUS has support for dual redundant LAN without any special hardware
required. This is extended to PLMS and ITAS also.
In case of failure of
a particular LAN, SIRIUS automatically switches over to the other LAN
without any loss of data. As an example in the above case, failure of the
LAN either of the Server or PLC will not make the PLC inaccessible to
SIRIUS as a parallel connection is then made with the PLC over the other
LAN.
The
following protocols are implemented in SIRIUS:
DNP 3.0
MODBUS
SDLP
OPC
RP-570
PDBUS
SNP (Series Ninety
Protocol)
SPA
Yes,
SIRIUS has the following features to support SCADA based redundancy.
Built-in Primary and
Hot-Standby functionality
Database redundancy
including alarms/events and history.
Operator action
redundancy.
Automatic data
synchronization.
Automatic Switchover.
Communication failure
detection and Auto Failover.
Automatic Bump-less switchover of all connected MMIs.
Automatic time
synchronization.
Printer redundancy.
LAN redundancy
The
following third party interfaces are supported by SIRIUS:
OPC Client
DDE (Server/Client)
NETDDE
ODBC
OLEDB
SQL
SIRIUS
can be applied to various process industries like Pharamaceutical,
Chemical, Food & Beverage industries. Using
SIRIUS the manufacturing process can be automated for monitoring and
automatic/manual control purposes. SIRIUS provides various options to the
user in different application areas of plant like, material management,
production, quality assurance. SIRIUS Batch/Recipe manager provides added
functions to the user in managing product batches.
SIRIUS
can store data into its database for archiving purposes both cyclically as
well as on exception-basis. In case of cyclic archiving, data is archived
into the database periodically as per the specified criteria. In the other
case, data is stored into the archive only when that particular data has
changed. This optimizes storage space and is more efficient than cyclic
archiving.
SIRIUS
provides integrated support for viewing reports created using data from
the SIRIUS archives. These reports can be like production reports,
equipment maintenance reports, shift reports.
Reports can be created from SIRIUS archives using standard available
software like Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel.
Also, the same data can be used for trending on SIRIUS MMI. This way one
can analyze/compare the behaviour of a
particular variable over different time periods.
Custom made applications can be built on top of the core functions
provided by SIRIUS using its third party interfaces.
SIRIUS
Programming Language (SPL), a C-like programming language built into
SIRIUS, provides various features for integrating custom
application-specific logics into the core installation. Typical uses of
SPL are command interlock checking, startup/shutdown logics, etc.
SSS can also provide its services in building custom applications which
can be integrated into SIRIUS. For further details contact
us.
